Personal
Yan is 5’5” and started playing golf at the age of 4. Her father worked for many years as an ESPN golf commentator and influenced her to take up golf, enabling her to meet many of her inspirations, including Tiger Woods and Annika Sörenstam. After earning partial status on the LPGA Tour through the final stage of qualifying school, she turned professional just a few months into her freshman season. In her free time, Yan enjoys watching films and movies. Yan qualified for the Tour on her first attempt.
